Shun Tak Group’s flagship environmental awareness program, “Think Green · Live Green,” encourages colleagues to start with small changes in their daily lives and to embrace green and sustainable living through concrete actions. As the program continues to evolve, the Group is extending this green momentum to the community, joining hands with the public to cultivate sustainable living habits.
Recently, the Group’s shopping malls have transformed green concepts into tangible action through a series of initiatives. Among them, Shun Tak Centre launched the “Think Green · Live Green” initiative as part of its current promotional campaign, encouraging customers to cultivate environmentally friendly habits in their daily consumption. Customers who purchase takeaway items from any merchant at the mall and bring their own drink cups or takeaway cutlery, or use reusable utensils, are eligible to redeem special gifts. Through this initiative, the mall promotes waste reduction and encourages more people to make greener choices in their everyday lives.
In addition, Shun Tak Centre and The Westwood once again supported Redress’ “Get Redressed Month” by setting up clothing collection points to encourage the public to donate unwanted garments, promoting circular fashion and a culture of waste reduction. The Group also teamed up with tenants and colleagues to join the “Sort-a-Thon” clothing sorting marathon, helping to sort the 14.8 tonnes of garments collected during the campaign. Through channels including resale, donation, and upcycling, the Group helped extend the value of resources and put the circular economy into practice.
The Group firmly believes that green transformation depends on sustained action and broad participation in order to create long-term value for both the environment and the community. Looking ahead, the Group will continue to extend sustainable values from within the organization to the wider community through “Think Green · Live Green,” encouraging stakeholders from different sectors to embrace green living through action.
